1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing and using the BASEC-Careers website (careers.basec.co.za) and subscribing to our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.
2. PLATFORM OVERVIEW
BASEC-Careers is a subscription-based recruitment platform that allows:
- Candidates to create profiles and upload resumes
- Employers to browse candidate resumes for hiring purposes
3. SUBSCRIPTION PLANS
We offer the following subscription options:
- Monthly subscription fee
- Annual subscription fee
Subscription fees are non-refundable. Both candidates and employers are required to pay the applicable subscription fee to access the platform services.
4. PAYMENT AND BILLING
All payments are processed through Paystack. By subscribing, you authorize Paystack to process your payment information. You are responsible for providing accurate billing information. A grace period is not provided; payment failure may result in immediate suspension of your account.
5. USER RESPONSIBILITIES
As a user of BASEC-Careers, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials
- Not engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
- Not share account access with unauthorized parties
- Comply with all applicable South African laws and regulations
6. CANDIDATE OBLIGATIONS
Candidates using BASEC-Careers agree to:
- Provide accurate and updated resume information
- Upload genuine and original resumes
- Grant permission for employers to view their profile and resume
7. EMPLOYER OBLIGATIONS
Employers using BASEC-Careers agree to:
- Use candidate information solely for recruitment purposes
- Comply with employment equity and anti-discrimination laws
- Not misuse or share candidate information with third parties
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on BASEC-Careers, including logos, design, and functionality, is owned by or licensed to BASEC-Careers and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit any content without our express permission.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
BASEC-Careers is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your specific purposes. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.
10. TERMINATION
BASEC-Careers reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account if you violate these Terms and Conditions or engage in illegal or fraudulent activities. Termination will be effective immediately upon notice.
11. CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES

12. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION
Your personal information is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we handle your data.
13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
14. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions or your use of BASEC-Careers shall be resolved through negotiation. If negotiation fails, the matter may be escalated through applicable legal channels in South Africa.
15. AMENDMENTS
BASEC-Careers reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
